Antonio Brown Wanted on Attempted Murder Charge Following Miami Incident

Former NFL star Antonio Brown is facing a serious legal situation. According to The Washington Post, a warrant has been issued by Miami-Dade County authorities seeking his arrest on a charge of attempted murder with a firearm. The charge stems from a violent incident that occurred after a celebrity boxing event in Miami on May 16.
Brown, 36, had initially been detained by police following the late-night altercation, but was not arrested at the time. He later took to social media, claiming he had been jumped by several individuals attempting to steal his jewelry. “Police temporarily detained me until they received my side of the story and then released me,” Brown wrote. “I went home that night and was not arrested.”
The newly obtained warrant reportedly requires Brown to post a $10,000 bond and remain under house arrest upon release.
According to police, surveillance and cellphone footage shows Brown punching a man, then allegedly taking a firearm from a security officer and chasing the same individual. Video appears to show Brown firing two shots at the man. The alleged victim later told investigators that Brown shot at him twice and may have grazed his neck. He sought treatment at a local hospital.
Brown, a former sixth-round pick by the Pittsburgh Steelers in 2010, was one of the most dominant wide receivers of the 2010s. He earned seven Pro Bowl selections and five All-Pro honors in his career. He was later traded to the Raiders but never played a game for them.
Miami-Dade authorities are actively investigating the incident.
